MasterChef India 7: Priyanka Kundu Biswas Gets ELIMINATED; Fans Question Judges’ Decision, Say, ‘Agaya Maja, Mil Gayi Shanti’
Fans have not taken Priyanka Kundu Biswas’ elimination from MasterChef India season 7 lightly
One of the most sought-after cooking reality shows MasterChef India season 7 have been facing the wrath of the audience for quite some time now. The judges and the makers of the show have been bashed on social media continuously for their blatant favouritism towards certain contestants. They yet again invited backlash, after they eliminated Priyanka Kundu Biswas in the recent episode, for cooking a simple dish.
The contestants Sachin, Suwarna, Priyanka and Gurkit had to be a part of the black apron challenge, where they had to cook food on a grill. Priyanka had failed to impress the judges with her pineapple chingri paturi during the ‘cooking with the grill’ challenge, which led to her elimination. Fans were left furious at the judges for their decision to eliminate one of the most hard-working contestants on the show. They even took to the comment section of the promo to lash out and some even accused the makers of taking a bribe from some of their favoured contestants. Venting out their frustration, one of the netizens wrote, “Agaya maja mil gayi Shanti Priyanka di ko eliminate karwa ke ....you just stopped her here but you don't stopped her in her life achievements .... Wo top 10 cake bakers mein thi aur rahegi bhi ...aur Aruna jo shirf vegetables dish banata hai ek chef ko sab kuch ana chaiye ....it is the most biased and political show.” ALSO READ: MasterChef India 7: Home Cook Kamaldeep Kaur Becomes FIRST Finalist Of Cooking Reality Show; Leaves Judges Impressed
On the other hand, Priyanka spoke about how lucky she was to have gotten a chance to showcase her talent on national television. In an interview, she went on to express how being a part of the show had always been her dream and she is glad she came as far as she had. Quoted by The Telegraph, she said, “I cooked solo against chef Manav, which no other contestant here has achieved. I always wanted to cook food. I used to wait for that opportunity. I think in most of the challenges, I have always tried to do something new.”
In the upcoming episode of the show, it will be seen that top chefs will come on the set to guide and train the contestants to perform well. The home cooks will have to make dishes from liquid to solid, one of their biggest challenges yet.
For the unversed, MasterChef is one of the most loved cooking shows on television. Apart from India, it also has a UK version, Australian version, Asian version and many other adaptations world-wide. The Indian version is judged by Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna and Garima Arora.
